But most of the psychological descriptions had a ring of partial believability, even though by the end of the book I felt I shouldn't actually think about those parts too closely. The narrative shifts between Jeanette and Sofia, and we get right into their worlds. But if you ever feel something watching you, or hear something pecking at your window, or just have an inexplicable urge to go just a little further into the woods. They punish and raise them according to their own laws.
